Dyson was contacted to illustrate and interpret 40 chapters of Dr. Dyson’s newest book. The collaboration led to a showcase at Art Basel at the HAL (Hampton Art Lovers) gallery December 5th 2019.

Project Resilience is an initiative that awards scholarships to urban ballerinas in need of funding for their dance academics. The first scholarship will be awarded May 13th 2016 in the amount of $1500. Project Resilience has gained the support of Misty Copeland, Lauren Anderson, Covet Dance and many of Dance Theatre of Harlem’s troop.

Everett Dyson, hosted by Houston Ballet, So Danca, Gaynor Minden, Bloch, Motionwear, and Jazz Raggs showcased his body of work entitled “Grace and Majesty”(a ballet collection based on now ABT Principal Misty Copeland). The showcase was a benefit for Houston Ballet’s outreach program, and raised 5 thousand dollars on art sales alone.

The Untitled Bottega is arguably one of the greatest achievements that Everett Dyson has achieved thus far in his career as an artist and business man. The gallery served as a free-for-all space where creative types from all walks of life showcase, create and perform their talents and also consists of an outdoor gallery dubbed as “The Coliseum”. Dyson along with a team of developers and investors embarked on a journey to establish a campus by creators for creators in Detroit’s North End on East Baltimore street. Studio and living space as well as workshops showing the “know-how” aspects of Art business are a few of the attributes highly anticipated from this venture. Opening day of the gallery over 2 thousand people were in attendance and Metro Times dubbed the event as “ The best event of Detroit Design Festival”

Facilitator Phillip Cooley (owner of Slows BBQ and Pony Ride) has recently opened a distillery in Detroit, MI run by three strong Detroit women. When it came time to choose an artist to decorate the inside of the Distillery He didn’t hesitate to contact Everett to create a large 12 foot by 18 foot mural to unveil on opening day.

After a successful crowdsourcing campaign through indiegogo, Everett raised over $1300 to publish his book in March of 2014, which documents his creative process of his collection ‘Grace & Majesty’ based on famed ABT soloist Misty Copeland. Everett Dyson had over 56 backers in a 20 day period.

After presenting Copeland with one of his original works, Dyson was asked to allow the production team for Copeland's upcoming documentary "A Ballerina's Tale' to put his work up for auction, which he agreed to.
Little Black Tutus

Little Black tutus is a grand ballet production based on the 1916 love story of Pablo Picasso & Olga Khokhlova. In December of 2013 not only did Everett produce and market the event, he curated and developed the theme of the ballet as well. Over 90% of those in attendance stated that “This is my very first ballet”. With choreography done by Aaryal Ramsey of Vanity Rose Productions, the show had an incredible turn out and received praises from ABT’s Misty Copeland as well.
Vanguard Holiday Pop Up Shop

Created Nutcracker theme pop-up shop/art installation for Vanguard in Detroit’s North End. Engaged community, local businesses as well as local artists bringing everyone together. Not only was the “Grand & Woodward Holiday Stop” successful in terms of bringing out local residents, we also demonstrated opportunity for permanent occupancy by showing how lucrative of a location we were in.

Dyson took on work with Mariners inn, a drug rehabilitation center for youth. Everett engaged the youth of the program with an art rehabilitation project where they all collaboratively created a mural, this exposed the youth to different ways to be successful outside of what they may have already been conditioned to.

Before Copeland's manager broke the news about the auction that they had planned for Dyson's work, they first informed Everett that Misty Copeland wanted to own another piece of original work from his collection 'Grace & Majesty' entitled "Mona Lisa II".

Nominated by Revolve Detroit, Dyson was made one of the 'who's who of black Detroit' October of 2013 at the age of 28.

Dyson was hired by Zipcar to paint one of their vehicles as a part of the festivities in Detroit Design Festival to attract more clientele and increase members to an innovative product that is new to the Detroit market place.
Tokyo Experience

Dyson recognized a respectable fan base in central Tokyo and made the decision to trek to the country to tour and meet his fans. His first attempt at creating a crowdsourcing campaign was selling original works of art for $50 per canvas. 20 days after launching the campaign, he reached his goal of $4,000. While in Tokyo, he developed a newfound appreciation for the country and returned home with new inspirations.

Engaged Detroit’s East Side Community, West Village, by showcasing original art as well as opening a pop up shop and coordinating all logistics and marketing for the pop-up shop ‘Pramu’.
Hopscotch World record holder

In September 2012 Dyson along with Wedge Detroit, created a 4 mile long hopscotch in Detroit; which broke the world record previously held by Canada. This project not only engaged youth and community, it also brought attention to overlooked small businesses along the hopscotch path greatly impacting the annual Detroit Design Festival. Not only did Everett utilize his skills in fundraising and crowd sourcing, but also his abilities as a Creative Project Manager as he was responsible for recruiting artists and engaging the Detroit community.

Shortly after the grand opening of The Untitled Bottega, The Heidelberg Project sought out Everett to be the first emerging artist of 2012. The showcase sold out within two short weeks.

After the Heidelberg Project showcase, Dyson's work was purchased by the wife of Tyree Guyton (creator of the Heidelberg project) for her office she bragged "I loved the colors coming from her hair in the painting, it reminded me of myself."
